Selfridges are renowned for their striking and magical window displays, drawing in the public who pass by outside with vivid colours and rich textures. This year, a personal favourite was created by jewellery brand Tiffany, contrasting against the overwhelming scale of the displays outside with miniature paper set pieces. The frames alone were extremely small and dark, allowing the difference in light to emphasize the snowy scene. I automatically felt drawn in to the display, especially to take notice of the amount of detail created by the scenery and small font at the bottom of the tree.
Size of the set pieces in relation to a human hand:
It felt as though the window was trying to emulate a message linking to the size of the jewellery and how a sheer amount of pleasure and beauty can be created through each individual piece, no matter what scale it be on.
